Nina Simone was an American singer-songwriter, pianist, and activist in the Civil Rights Movement. She recorded more than 40 albums through her fascinating life which continues to influence artists to this day. Shot by Duffy with her daughter - Lisa Celeste Stroud who is better known by her stage name - Simone.
